Written agreement for releasing dependent for ex to claim

My ex took an edited screenshot manipulating it to say that I told him he could claim one of our children and this is not the case. Will this screenshot work as a written agreement?

If you are the custodial parent you would have to have given him a signed form 8332 for him to claim the child.

IRS form 8332 Release/Revocation of Release of Claim to Exemption for Child by Custodial Parent requires your signature to release the claim to exemption.

If two parents claim the same dependent, the IRS will contact both parties to determine which party, if either party, qualifies for the dependent. An unsigned IRS form 8332 will not support the other parent's claim.

The form may also be used to revoke the release of claim to exemption.  Review the instructions on the form.
