Why wasn't my state tax return included this time
Why wasn't my state tax included with my purchase? They want an extra $40 for the state file?
Sorry, the Desktop program Basic does not come with a state program download. You need to buy Deluxe or higher to get a free state program. And if you buy Deluxe in the stores it comes 2 ways, Deluxe with state and Deluxe without state for states that don’t have an income tax.
And after you buy the state program for 39.99 then it is 19.99 extra to efile state. Or you can print and mail state for free.
