The IRS is verifying your income, withholding or credits. Usually takes at least 60 days. This has nothing to do with TurboTax

The TurboTax identity verification process happens right before you submit your return, where you must confirm your information to securely transmit the file. This step ensures that you are authorized to log into the account and submit the tax document, but it only satisfies the software requirement to send the file to the government.

The IRS identity verification process is completely separate and happens after the IRS receives your return. The CP05 notice means the IRS is now doing a routine review of the specific items on your tax return, such as your income, tax withholding, or tax credits, to ensure everything matches the data they received from third parties like your employer. You must follow the instructions on the letter you received and send the IRS any  supporting documents they have requested, such as paystubs or a letter from your employer, to prove your income and withholding.
