Where do I input the Estimated Tax I paid?

Where do I input the estimated tax payments that I made on my 1099-MISC income? I payed federal income tax throughout the year.

If you are using TurboTax Online (please see screenshots attached):

  1. Click on My Account in the blue bar at the top
  2. Click on Tools
  3. Click on Topic Search
  4. Search for estimated and then click on Go on estimated tax payments
  5. Follow the prompts

Note : If you don't have a My Account, try maximizing your window and/or zooming out your browser.  If you are on a mobile device, you will not have access to My Account or Tools.  The instructions below for TurboTax Desktop should offer you close guidance.  If you need more assistance, please comment below.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop (CD/Download product)

1. Click on Federal Taxes (Personal if using Home & Business)

2. Click on Deductions & Credits (you may need to click Continue)

3. Select I'll choose what I work on

4. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

5. Click on Start/Update next to Estimates

6. Scroll down to Estimated Tax Payments

7. Follow the prompts to enter these taxes paid along with the date paid.  You can also add state and local estimated taxes, if applicable.
