Where do I find Form 8949 to report a Long Term gain?
sold a stock for gain
When you enter an investment sale TurboTax will create Form 8949 and include it in your tax return. To enter an investment sale go to:
- Federal Taxes
- Wages & Income
- Investment Income
- Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other
But as tagteam said, you cannot enter investment sales in Free Edition. You will have to upgrade to Premium.
