When I filed I got a message telling me that if some new tax law passed after I filed I would be due to recv another 2000+. Has this law passed yet?

It could have been regarding mortgage insurance premiums, education credits or misc. itemized deductions. None of these has been updated or changed by Congress as of today. However, if you filed with TurboTax and the law(s) do change, you will receive an email with instructions on how to amend to receive the deduction(s).
