When entering my W-2 info do I use the address that is listed ony W-2 if it is not my current address

Yes, enter the address that is on your W-2, even if you no longer live there. Do this so that the W-2 you enter matches the copy of the W-2 that the IRS already has. The IRS will not use this address.

 

You should have already entered your current, correct address in the My Info or Personal Info section, which will print at the top of page 1 of the 1040.

 

This latter address is the one that needs to be your correct address (in case the IRS needs to mail you anything).

Yes, when you enter your W-2, enter the address that is on the W-2, even if it's not your current address or it's wrong.

 

When TurboTax asks for your mailing address in the My Info section, enter your current address.

 

Your address on the W-2 does not have to be the same as the address on your tax return.
