I won a law suit against my employer for discrimination. I received 2 checks 1 was fore 25,000 and taxes were taken out. The other check was for 40,000 and no taxes were taken out. I received a 1099-MISC for the 40,000 but no form for the 25,000 which were wages. Shouldn"t I have received some kind of form for the 25,000

You should receive a W-2 or a 1099-MISC for this $25,000.  You will need to account for the income and report the taxes paid.

If you haven't received it, especially since you have the one for $40,000, I would call your attorney and/or the administrator.
