Question

What does this mean? "The IRS hasn't finalized one or more of your forms. Once forms are finalized, you will be able to access this section."

Hello, I have been trying to process my taxes and already received my 1099-G paperwork from the IRS in the mail and already input everything. I went through all of the deductions and other forms, etc. They don't really mean much to me yet considering I am still a college student and I am living with my boyfriend who deals with the financials so I said 'no' to most of it, not linking me to anything that could hold me back from filing. But I am getting the notice right before I can file that the IRS hasn't finalized one of my forms??? Its already February and I saw in other articles that it should've been ready by the end of January to file. What is happening? I am confident I input and filed everything properly. Why would they send me paperwork that I can't even file yet but they still sent it?

Thank you in advance.

Update: I see something about "Form 8615" "Tax For Certain Children" and 'Available to File: 02/10/2022'

Am I supposed to receive this form in the mail? I didn't have to do this last year and do not understand why I have to file it this year considering I have received unemployment benefits since June of 2020. I did not have to file that form in my 2020-2021 taxes.

The IRS has not or only recently updated that particular form and the software has to keep up with the IRS updates.  8615 is a form used to figured your child tax on unearned income. You do not have to do anything but wait for the update which should occur February 10th.
