We're married filing seperately, my wife already claimed the 20k amount of mortgage/property deduction, there's 5948 remaining, can i use this remaining deduction?

Yes, you may be able to claim the remaining deduction if you paid that portion of the expenses yourself. When filing separately, spouses must both itemize deductions or both take the standard deduction. You can divide mortgage interest and property taxes in any manner you choose, provided the total claimed between both returns does not exceed 100% of the expense.
