Not all of them participate. Just key the form in yourself.

Here's how to proceed past that screen.

If your financial institution does not participate as an import partner with TurboTax, or if you simply don't want to import the form information, here's how to enter your 1099 manually:

I assume you are on the screen "Let's import your tax info."

  • On the import screen you don't have to use that search field that says to enter the bank name or sign-in URL.   Instead, you can scroll down below the logos and choose the button "Change how I enter my form."
  • On the next screen, which asks "How do you want to add your form?," scroll down to the bottom and choose the button "Type it in myself."
  • Then it will let you start entering the institution name, etc.

I did a manual data entry for dividend and interest. But Navy Federal Brokerage is a real challenge so far.  They issue the 1099-b with their partner Pershing LLC that shows as “custodian”.  Pershing has a relationship with Turbo Tax and no one so far is explaining the process to download the tax data.  I will come back if there is a solution.  If some knows how to do it….   help!!!
