I had unemployment for about 3 months.  I cannot find the tax information they sent.  Should I find that before filing?

Please take SU xmasbaby0's advice and try to find the 1099-G info on state's unemployment compensation website.

You need to include this information on your tax return--the IRS also receives a copy of the 1099-G and will be matching it to the information in your return.
