TurboTax says my wife and I should take the standard deduction. I know the CARES Act lets us deduct $600 extra this year. Where do I see that this has been applied?

We're getting the standard $25,100 deduction, but I don't see any sign that we're also getting the extra $600, even though we donated about $3,000 in cash.

Okay, so I actually just found where to look. If you go to the left-hand side of the screen, under Tax Tools, click there and then select View Tax Summary. Under Itemized/Standard Deduction, it says $25,700, which is $600 more than the actual standard deduction. So, now I know TurboTax is giving me that extra $600 deduction.

The $600 deduction for charitable contributions will be on line 12b of your Form 1040.
