TurboTax Desktop Mac 2025 Roth Conversion 8606 Not working
I have tried nearly a dozen different times to get TurboTax Desktop Mac 2025 to properly treat a 1099-R related to a Traditional IRA to Roth IRA conversion. In my case, there was no Traditional IRA contribution that we are "back door". This is just choosing to pay taxes on the Traditional IRA now and convert the distribution to Roth.
Every time I try the 1099-R import (from Fidelity) or manual entry, I NEVER get prompted to select that the monies are meant for Roth Conversion and a corresponding 8606 get generated.
Please help, this is the last issue standing between me and e-Filing!
