Turbotax 2021 - Chase Import Not Working

Trying to import 1099s from Chase Private Banking and I noticed two issues:

1) Chase Investments is not listed in the drop down (though the prompts ask you to select that option)

2) Chase Bank IS listed, however selecting it takes you to a screen that has Chase logo, but no place to enter userid/password.

Open a ticket [removed] but got an email immediately afterwards saying the ticket has been closed. Seriously? How could you close a genuine issue being reported WITHOUT a resolution? Turbotax SUCKS.

Stop removing TICKET #s from chats - these ARE NOT SSNs and DON'T NEED the protections from big brother.

You know most places don't have the 1099 import files ready until late February.  The pdf form you see online is not the file that is imported.  They have to make the import file available to Turbo Tax.  Import files always take longer.

When can you import a 1099?

When will I be able to import my 1099?

Was also on the line twice with Chase the interface is not working. It going to Chase but not the right interface.

Chase is not showing failures. Looks like Turbo tax has the wrong address.

Chase API to get information over to my fidelity account.

Some progress. Now it connects to Chase but still the userid password doesn’t work. Chase is putting their hands up asking to clear cache, use different browser etc. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Same issue here. Believe this is a TurboTax issue as the instruments from this Chase website aren't possible.

I have having a similar issue for my brokerage account using TurboTax desktop where the username/password field was not showing up in the doc import screen.  I tried some other brokerages to see if there was a similar issue.  One of them prompted me to sign into my intuit account.

I went to File --> Login and logged into my intuit account.  Now when I hit continue in the document import screen another window pops up for me to enter in my brokerage username/password.

@twojtalewicz Were you able to then successfully import the document after that?

I was running into similar problems and ended up choosing "J.P. Morgan Securities".  It has a link to generate a OTP code.  That worked to import my self-directed investment account info.

    Hey guys,

I finally found out what's going on. I downloaded 1099B form from chase account and saw that it's actually from "JP Morgan Securities"!  I thought mine belongs to Chase because this brokerage account is on the same page with my Chase bank accounts but it turns out not. So please check the top page of your 1099B form to see where your brokerage account is located at. I was able to connect TurboTax with JP Morgan Securities with my chase.com login ID.

    Good luck!

It showed "not available" when I selected  "J. P. Morgan Securities" on 02/17. However, I got it worked this morning. So, be sure to select "J. P. Morgan Securities" in the list instead of entering "Chase Investments". It worked.

Also a Chase Private Client, I just tried to download my tax forms from Chase, and it didn't work - TurboTax software said that this part of their software was not working now, try again later.  In previous years, this worked in TurboTax but I entered CHASE INVESTMENTS, and not CHASE BANK.  This year, CHASE INVESTMENTS is not listed.

    Is anyone working on this?

Try to select "J. P. Morgan Securities" in the list. It is available on 02/19 and works perfectly.

Thank you so very much for pointing me to J.P. Morgan Investments instead of Chase.  I followed your advice and it worked perfectly.  I had called Turbo-Tax support and they were unable to help me the way you did.  Thanks again.

Spoke with customer service rep at Chase and they claimed that the issue of importing tax forms  into Turbotax from Chase bank  is due to a technical issue created by  Intuit so my question is what's Intuit  timeline  for fixing this glitch

Spoke to Chase this morning.  TurboTax is now promising to have the import issue with the desktop turbotax problem and Chase fixed by March 4.

Please see these steps provided by Chase to help with your import.

    For Brokerage and Managed Accounts

Within the TurboTax software, use “Chase Investments” to search for the financial institution.
Enter your chase.com username, password, and identification code.
Request the identification code by clicking the ‘Get Your Identification Code’ link within TurboTax.
You'll be presented with a chase.com sign-in page for multifactor authentication purposes (similar to the one that appears when you sign in to chase.com from an unrecognized computer).
Choose to receive the identification code by phone, text, or email.
Upon receipt, type the identification code into TurboTax to proceed with the download process; the identification code expires after 30 minutes.

GOOD NEWS!! After asking my Chase/JPMorgan banker for assistance, they contacted the right people and gave me these instructions which worked flawlessly.  I am surprised that Intuit has not already published this valuable information:

Here are the instructions I show for TurboTax. The number to call for support is: (800)392-5749

    For Brokerage and Managed Accounts

    1.     Within the TurboTax software, use “Chase Investments” to search for the financial institution
    2.     Enter your chase.com username, password, and identification code
    3.     Request the identification code by clicking the ‘Get Your Identification Code’ link within TurboTax
    4.     You'll be presented with a chase.com sign in page for multifactor authentication purposes (similar to the one that appears when you sign in to chase.com from an unrecognized computer)
    5.     Choose to receive the identification code by phone, text, or email
    6.     Upon receipt, type the identification code into TurboTax to proceed with the download process; the identification code expires after 30 minutes.

NOTE:  All available tax forms for all Brokerage and Managed accounts accessible by chase.com username can be imported.

I got the message said "It looks like this part of our site isn't working right now."   This is not the chase problem. Please fix your software. I called several times to Intuit and no one can do anything. Intuit SUCKS!!!

I had the same problem! Use the J.P. Morgan Securities for the import; there is a link to get a code at the bottom.  I just did it and imported my 1099-B 1099-DIV and 1099-INT from there, was getting frustrated as well cause Chase Investments isn't listed and Chase Bank doesn't go anywhere.  Also, I am using the desktop version.
