Question

Turbo tax says form6252 hasn't been finalized but at IRS website it is. Please file this return

Form 6252 for Installment Sales will be available very soon. For the most recent update, check at: IRS forms availability table for TurboTax.

 

The IRS states in About Form 6252, Installment Sale Income:

This form is used to report income form an installment sale on the installment method.

Generally, an installment sale is a disposition of property where at least one payment is received after the end of the tax year in which the disposition occurs.

 

If you do not need this form, it can be deleted. To return to this section of your return, enter installment sales in the search box and select the Jump to link in the search results.

Was informed that Form 6252 will not be available until March 3rd.  My tax return is DUE on March 1.  What do I do?

A federal tax return for tax year 2021 is due on or before April 18, 2022.
