The refund amount keeps dropping over night with no changes by me being done. I've done my taxes twice now. What is going on with TurboTax?

The first time, my refund changed by thousands of dollars. I wiped it out, per customer support instructions, and redid them. However, the system said the option to pay with my refund wasn't available yet. I jumped online tonight to pay out of pocket tonight (as I just got paid) and the refund amount changed again. I know that the amounts are changing because I took pictures of the screen. TurboTax is NOT calculating my taxes correctly or is glitching and changing the amount. Also, it still won't let me pay with my refund. What is going on with their software. this problem makes me think that the TurboTax software is glitching and unreliable this year.

Is the refund that keeps changing, your Federal or State refund, or both? Due to this being the beginning of the year and forms are still being updated, this could be why your refund keeps changing. Please see these TurboTax FAQs, for more information, IRS forms availability table for TurboTax individual and State forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products.

As for why you are not able to pay with your refund, there could be multiple reasons, such as,

Your federal refund isn't enough to cover the fees (stimulus is not included as a refund)
You're filing with a foreign address
Form 8888 is in your return
You are using a discount/service code

If none of these are the case and you still are not getting that option, please contact TurboTax by phone, for further assistance.

Running into the same issue. Went from refund to having to pay with no change in inputs. The only thing that changed was the time that went by.
