it can happen if you prepared your return containing a form that was not final. we have no way to be sure. You probably did not save a copy of the previous version, so seeing what changed is not possible.

If you have not yet filed?

And if you are age 73 or older...and haven't looked at it for a week or two....then some of the questions about your 1099-R forms have changed.

You should edit each one again, and re-answer some of the follow-up questions about RMDs. Some of the proper answers are now clearer....a few are just as confusing...especially if you have multiple IRA accounts.
