Stop federal tax filing

It appears that I have set up to file automatically and I don't want to do that

There is no "automatic" federal filing.   The only way you can file your tax return is by going all the way through the FILE section to click a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now."   No one but you can click that button.  The IRS has not even opened e-filing for 2023 returns.   It will not be possible for anyone to e-file a 2023 return until late in January.   The other way to file a tax return is to print it, sign and date it yourself, put it in an envelope, and take it to a mailbox.

 

So....not sure what you did, but your tax return is not going to be filed automatically.   You are in control of filing it.
