Social Security calculated as non-taxable
I, too, am a victim of TurboTax's software failure in listing my Social Security benefits as non-taxable. In my case this error has resulted in an additional tax liability of over $4700.00. To say I was shocked to get this notice from the IRS is an understatement. As a long-time user of TurboTax I no longer have confidence in the accuracy of TurboTax programming. I do not "buy" Turbo Tax's attempt to blame its users for the problem. Talk about terrible customer relations! I got no sympathy whatsoever from the customer service rep I spoke with by phone. As much as I hate to "start from scratch" with another company, I no longer trust Turbo Tax. I have to say I am somewhat comforted to find I am not the only person who experienced this problem.
