Question

So I keep trying to file and it says that I need to fix the state return eligible section 179. I have tried all the available options and it still isn't fixed

I had to go into the assets in the state return as I had selected $30,000 for 179 in the Federal return and the State of CA limited the 179 option to only $25,000. I changed the election in the State asset listing and the error went away. I left the Federal at $30,000. Hope this helps.
