There is no "Intuit/TurboTax Team" here; only volunteers together with moderators and admins who take care of this board. About all they can do is pass your concerns along to their superiors. 

I think you would be better off escalating this issue about ItsDeductible to the Intuit Office of the President, as I recently did. Here are the instructions: fill out an escalation form at https://www.intuit.com/company/contact/office-of-the-president/?cid=executives_intuit_click_us_oop-f...  Note: You will have to check "yes" to the question about having previously contacted Customer Support  in order to send the complaint, which I think is fine since there is no option in the Customer Support phone number menu to talk to anyone about ItsDeductible. 

I think there is a chance that they might reconsider as they have done before--the more people that the Intuit's executives hear from, the better.  However, I received a response from someone at the Office of the President indicating that the decision was "firm." I also asked that the elimination of ItsDeductible be at least delayed until after the 2025 tax filing deadline. 

Based on my recent conversation with a representative from Intuit’s Office of the President, there’s currently no new information being provided. They were unable to offer any insight into whether ItsDeductible might be reinstated, or what options—if any—will be made available to longtime users.

Interestingly, the representative acknowledged that it seemed odd for the software to be sunset midyear, especially without any clear plan or communication regarding how users would access or use their data when filing their 2025 tax returns.

This leaves loyal customers in a difficult position, forced to wait and see what Intuit ultimately decides. Understandably, many are choosing to move on, and I’m leaning in that direction myself given the history of similar issues.

Still, I remain hopeful that calm, reasoned voices will prevail—and that Intuit will recognize the value of this community and make the right decision

I also think "Continue ItsDeductible through the end of the 2025 tax year" could be a good idea.

After repeated missteps in communication, Intuit’s decision to abruptly decommission ItsDeductible has left many of us stunned and disheartened. Receiving a generic card in the mail and an impersonal email survey felt like a hollow gesture—an attempt at sympathy without substance, especially given the gravity of what was being taken away.

Frankly, I’m beyond disappointed. There was no meaningful follow-through on Intuit’s stated intent to make things right. Instead of offering a bridge to the 2025 tax year, the app was shut down prematurely—catching users off guard who, based on multiple sources, believed they had until midnight tonight to export their data. The cutoff being yesterday only adds to the confusion and frustration.

It’s hard to imagine this wasn’t a deliberate decision, and if so, it reflects a troubling disregard for long-time customers who relied on this tool year after year. The silence from “The Office of the President” and the ItsDeductible Decision Team is deafening.

TurboTax, do the right thing. Speak to this community. If the decision is final, so be it—but communicate it clearly, respectfully, and with accountability. Many of us are still holding out hope that Intuit will choose to honor its legacy and its users, even if we are now a dwindling few.

I used ItsDeductible for a LONG time. I remember TurboTax planned to pull the plug a few years back and then changed its mind after user backlash, so had been hoping we'd see a similar reversal again this time - not the case this time, though. 

The good news - there are now a good number of alternatives to ItsDeductible, and several a good bit faster on the input/tracking side. The bad news (as previously mentioned) - until TurboTax adds donation import to their product, none of these alternatives (ours included) are going to be as seamless as the old tool. 

There's been some discussion from TurboTax about adding this functionality, and we're (cautiously) optimistic that this would be in time for the 2026 tax prep season given the decision to deprecate ItsDeductible in October.

The ItsDeducted team (note: ItsDeducted is independent and not affiliated with Intuit/TurboTax) is ready and waiting - we already support export in our tool and, as soon as we hear TT Online supports imports for donations, we're committed to updating our app within a few days so former ItsDeductible users get the seamless experience they deserve.
