Reporting rental property income and expenses

My husband and are estranged but not legally separated. I have decided to change my status to married filing separately. My question is about our rental until income and expenses. Can one of us (in this case, me) file the Schedule E for 100% of the rental income and expenses, even though in the past, when we filed jointly, we did the Schedule E in both our names? Forgetting about what my husband thinks of this for now, I am asking this as a technical matter only, not a relationship issue. Thanks!

Technically as long as 100% of the rental is reported in some way beween the 2 separate returns  the IRS is fine with it ... so you can divide it any way you two can agree on.

Unless you are in a Community Property State, then it must be 50/50.
