Question

Rejection: Form 1040, Line 34 'Tuition And FeesDeduction Amount'. Is there a way to enter the value into the 1040 Line 34 manually until this error is fixed by turbotax?

Not at this time. Form 1040, Line 34 is populated by Form 8917. The Tuition and Fees Deduction (Form 8917) was one of the tax provisions extended by Congress recently when it passed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018.

Any idea on a timeline for a fix? The info is correct on the 8917 but it won't transfer to the 1040, line 34 - it still says "Reserved for Future Use" and the line is blank. It is the only thing causing my return to be rejected.
