The rejection was based on the SSN for our daughter. She was claimed as a dependent in 2018 without a problem. Why a problem now when nothing as changed?

If your return is rejected by the IRS due to a mismatch related to your daughters's SSN there are several things you can check.

Make sure that all of her information, such as name, SSN and date of birth match her Social Security information.

If the IRS continues to reject your return you may have to print and mail your return.
