I rolled over a qualified roth to a qualifed roth- recieved a 1099-r, I did not take any distribution.

When I report my 1099-R on my federal return box 5 of the 1099-r says Employee contri/desig ROTH contrib or insurance premium (this is the  same figure as the gross distribution)- box 7 says H (direct rollover)- my state refund recalculates and goes up by about $4000. - this can't be right. HELP I wanna get this done.

Before you indicated this was a rollover, i assumed the state was trying to tax you for this distribution.  As soon as you indicated it was a rollover, then the taxable amount disappeared. Unfortunately I can;t see your screen to see what is happening but this point you may wish to contact a specialist that can work through that section of the return with you. The specialists can look at your return on their screen to verify if this rollover is being applied correctly to your Mass state return.
