On New York IT-203 how do I change federal amount for interest income on U.S. Government bonds?

The interest income on US Government bonds carries over into New York from information I entered on my Federal return.  However, a portion of this income does not meet New York 50% asset requirement each quarter.  How can I change the federal amount on line 27 of Form IT-203 for New York only.

Note: I am filing multiple state returns so I can't adjust the amount entered in my Federal return.

You enter the adjustment in the state interview.  When you go through the NY state interview, look for the screen that says ''Changes to/Differences in Federal Income'', see image attached.    Scroll down to Investment Adjustments and then select start next to NY taxable federally exempt US Obligations.
