On 8965 Health Care Exemption, how do I mark an Exemption for my wife? I am Exempted due to living overseas, but I cannot find a way to mark the same for my wife.

I am filing Married Filing Separate.  The "Step by Step" for Health Care asks me questions which lead to the Exemption (living Overseas) and does not ask about my wife's situation, since I am MFS makes sense.  However then in the Worksheets she is listed, and marked as 'no exemption'.

I cannot override in the Worksheet her correct status of Exempt due to Overseas.

Answering my own question, in case others have same situation:  I needed to enter into my wife's Personal Info Worksheet her State of Residence as "FC" (Foreign Country).   This cleared the Penalty in the Medical Coverage Form.

Not sure why this entry was not covered over from prior year.

Does this still work? I'm having the same problem and updating the Personal Info Worksheet as suggested above does not work.
