New Mexico State filing saying ineligible for any credits or deductions due to inmate

New Mexico State filing saying I’m not qualified for rebates or credits due to being an inmate. I did not check that box when prompted. I have gone into my PIT-RC form to ensure the box is checked no and returned to the step by step and the error remains. I want to know if I am eligible for anything but it won’t let me find this out due to this error.

The best thing to do is the delete the state return and start again. Sometimes if an entry is made, you cannot go back and change it.

Follow these steps:

Open or continue your return.
Select State Taxes from Tax Home.
On the Status of your state returns screen, select the trashcan icon next to your state, then select Delete.

If you’ve already paid your state fees, you can’t delete your return, but you can start over by selecting Start Over next to your state return on the Status of your state returns screen.
