What tax amendments do I need to make if any or should I wait it out?  I'm also waiting for all my stimulus money that I missed out on ~$1800 and I'm wondering how I can make sure I get this w the name change mid process. I filled out the rebate credit question on turbotax.

Was your return ACCEPTED or REJECTED ?

It must be one or the other.

The IRS matches the first four letters of your last name to the last four digits of your social security number.  If your return was accepted, it matched what was on file at Social Security at the time you filed.  You do not need to do anything further and it should not cause any delays.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for as my first name was the only thing that changed.
