My wife and I got 1200 stimulus yesterday, should have been 2400 since we filed jointly and make less than the threshold provided. That is quite a large missing payment. I do receive disability as well but was under the impression wouldn't matter and would still get stimulus payment. How do we complain about this?

Ours is also wrong. We filed jointly married and make less than $150k and have two children ages 5 and 2 and only received $2400. I hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

We are married filed jointly  with one dependent but only received $1450, half of the payment as if we were head of household + one child. What do we do in this case? Is there a number to contact?

Yes mine is $500 short as well. Married filed jointly with a 5 and 2 year old. Make under the threshold. Supposedly they are mailing info on why you got your amount within 15 days. Seems to be a common theme.

Yeah it has a phone number on it to call I tried calling the same number yesterday got a recording that they don't have enough employees to answer questions and use website which is pointless

Neither I nor my ex-wife got the $500 for our son I figured if it wasn't on mine it would be on hers because we alternate claims every other year. How do I correct this so  getthe amounts paid out one way or the other.

This has happened to several people and the IRS has not indicated where or how to report this.

I do know that the stimulus payments will all be reconciled when you file your 2020 return (in 2021) and if you were not paid the correct amount you will receive it then.  I know that doesn't help you today, but I'm not sure the IRS will issue corrections before then.  Several  have indicated their payment amount seems to correspond with the children claimed on the 2018 return, not 2019.  Again, we are not aware of how the IRS is determining which return to go by.  We thought it would be 2019 if that had already been filed, but reality is showing us this is not always the case.

My check was $500 short. I have not filed 2019 so they went based on 2018. There was a mistake in my original tax form where I had a social security number wrong for one of the children so they went back and corrected it after the it was processed originally. How do we contact IRS to have the $500 additional reissued? This has me in a bad situation because we were counting on that extra $500 to get through the month.

This is a piece of an article from the Washington Post. Looks like there will be a way to report wrong amounts when the letter arrives. The IRS stated that they are aware with many issues including wrong amounts deposited.
