Same situation!  Married filed jointly and under the $150,000 with two kids and only got $2900 instead of $3400.  What to do???

Me and my wife filed jointly with one kid.  Injured spouse form because she has past education debt.  I don't owe anything.  We only got 1450....our income was only $24,083 (well within the guidelines)  we should have received the full $2900.  We checked the get my payment tool first on her social (said payment scheduled for April 15th) then we checked mine (and said info doesnt match their records try back in 24 hours, 2 days in a row now)  i am the first one listed on our 2019 taxes!!!  Our direct deposit info is listed as our intuit turbo tax card...What happened to our money????  TURBO TAX PEOPLE, WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR MONEY!!!???

Again, why are you blaming Turbo Tax? I know people who did not use Turbo Tax, yet the same thing has happened. People please educate yourselves. THE IRS SCREWED UP, NOT TURBO TAX!!!!!

Agree that this issues with incorrect Stimulus Checks is not the fault of Turbo Tax...

This is an IRS issue to solve.

Mine was wrong too. Received 2900 instead of 3400. Filed married jointly and and have 2 children under the age of 15. Don’t owe taxes or child support and we are under the threshold for our AGI. Something isn’t right!!!

I agree that something isnt right.  It's frustrating too becaise its rumored that the amounts are going to be reconciled at the end off the year. ..like we all need this money right now not at the end of the year (whoops i mean January or February when we go to do our taxes again.)

My gf’s 2019 taxes was head of household with a qualifying child that is 6 yrs old. She got 1,200 direct deposited but is missing the $500 for her son?

I had the same thing. AGI of 64k and no reason for a garnishment. I called TurboTax customer service, and they verified that I should have received the entire amount. Too bad the IRS has zero customer service right now!

wife and I are well under the 150000 limit with 2 kids.  14 and 17 that are definitely dependants.

We got 2900 instead of 3400.  Where is the extra 500 Turbo people!!???

75% of the issue here is not whether your kids are listed as dependents. Mine are listed as dependents, technically, as well. The main area to check on your tax return is page 1, in the Dependents section, to see of the Child Tax Credit box is checked off. If it is NOT checked off, then this is probably the reason you didn't get the extra $500. And even further bet that the Other dependents box is checked off instead.

I'm sure there could be other reasons you didn't receive the $500 but I believe this covers a large majority of the reasons.

My stimulus check is wrong (short) I figured out the irs mistake they used my gross income not my adjusted gross income which put me over the 150000 married threshold making it about 1/2 of what I should get.

It would make sense if they used gross instead of AGI for me. $77k before deductions and 64k after. That would make sense, as the discrepancy was only $103.

My kids are are both under 17. I only got $1700 when I should have gotten $2200. Where's the other $500??
