Question

My state tax was accepted, but then I got an email from TurboTax that my state tax is incomplete. Do I need to do anything?

Would you please clarify your question? Did you already e-file the state tax return and it was rejected or have you just not filed a state tax return yet?

thank you for your response, JeanneL.  I already e-filed the state and federal tax returns. Both the federal and state tax returns were accepted by the IRS and state.  After getting the acceptances, I later received an email from TurboTax that: "Official Notice: Your state tax return is incomplete." But when i go into Turbo Tax, I cannot see what is missing.

The email you received may be a scam. See this for more information: Tax Time Scams You Should Avoid. . If you receive a suspicious email that appears to come from TurboTax, forward it to us at spoof@intuit.com so we can investigate.

As long as the status is showing accepted in TurboTax there should not be anything else you need to do. You can also verify your current status with your state office. Click here for your state Department of Revenue refund tracking.
