Question

My husband and I are filing married separate. Why did it determine that my son does not qualify as dependent if I am the only one claiming him?

That is a bug scheduled for the 3/27 update.

One workaround by a TurboTax employee:

"I'm sure this is counter intuitive but I'm guessing that people have overlooked checking the box in the spouse's flow (when MFS) for  "No one else can claim my spouse as their dependent for 2018" (provided that is true).  Afterwards, go through the dependent flow and you'll be able to claim the child.

The attached screenshot shows the box to check."
