My doctor has a concierge practice. Can I deduct the yearly fee that we pay for his clinic services?

You can only deduct the portion related to actual medical fees not the portion that gives you accessibility or convenience.

Yes. Doctor concierge fees are deductible as medical expenses if they are paid to cover medical services. Medical expenses above 7.5 percent of your adjusted gross income are deductible on Schedule A (itemized deductions). 

 

To enter medical expenses in TurboTax Online:

 

1. Select Deductions & Credits from the left menu

 

2. Look for the Medical section and select Start/Revisit next to Medical Expenses

 

3. You can enter the concierge fees in the area for Medical professionals fees

If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.
