Does anyone know? I called the IRS but was on hold for over 45 mins before I got told they over too busy and to call back - something frustrating like that msg.

The last day to e-file a 2021 return is Monday, October 17, 2022. If your e-file is rejected on that date, you will have several days to fix it and re-file. If you are unable to do that, then the return has to be sent in by mail.
