It’s not showing my estimated tax payment

Made an estimated tax payment. IRS is not showing it. Say I owe money. Next steps

if you received a notice, it includes instructions on how to contest the findings. This should be as simple as finding documentation that the estimate was paid, such as a bank or credit card statement. Then write a short letter of explanation. Sign and date. Mail everything back to the address given.

 

 

If you opted to apply a 2024 overpayment to 2025. Then you need to see a transcript of the 2024 return. Perhaps the IRS changed something, refunded the overpayment by mistake, or there was an offset in place that took the overpayment
