Is it legal to report half my earnings from 2021 then report other half on next year taxes?

No.  Your W2 and 1099s have to be reported on the same tax return.   You have to report ALL your income each year.  Or the IRS will send you a letter and a bill.

You might as well ask if you can report no income in 2021 and no income on next year's taxes.
