Question

In the income section, my gains from sales in my brokerage account need a review. When clicking the review box, nothing happens. How do I review the entry?

In some cases, you are required to enter into the income transactions and make corrections.  In some cases, you need to answer How did you receive this investment? or enter a Cost or other basis or a Date sold or disposed.

In other cases, that is not the case.  See this example.

In TurboTax Premium Online, I see that one IRS form 1099-B reads Needs Review.

Without addressing the Needs Review message, I select Review down the left side of the screen.  Select Check my return.

At the screen Take a moment to review these investments, select the icon to the far right of the screen.

At the screen Review your sales, Select Continue.

    Select Check my return.

Your errors have been cleared, let's review! flashes by.

Return to the IRS form 1099-B.

    Needs Review has been removed.

Can you clarify what you are seeing? Have you gone back, as JamesG1 described, and reviewed your answers in the investments section?
