Been using TaxAct since 1990.  I file federal to include Schedule E (rental Property) and depreiation Schedule.  TaxAct Saved file is...ends in .ta8.  Does anyone know how to Import a TaxAct saved file into TubroTax....so as to import....Investment Loss carryover, Depreciaiton schedule....  I have no idea if this data cannot be imported to TurboTax how any customer using Tax Software can switch to a different Tax Software.

Only a 2022 PDF from the TaxAct return can be transferred to the 2023 tax return, not the TaxAct 2022 data file.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for transferring from the prior year to the 2023 TurboTax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/transfer-last-year-return-2021-turbotax-windows/L0JcyjyrG_US_en_US?uid=lq49zamf

The PDF that transfers, has historically been very limited, and hasn't included the details you really want.

Certainly TTX tries to update/improve their data imports from other software providers every year......but it's too soon to know if 2023 desktop has done anything to get a full transfer of what you want from a TaxAct PDF.

Here's a prior year set of discussions  (from Feb of 2022) about what TTX has NOT been able to import from a TaxAct PDF:
