If my child is two months old during the filing period, do I still receive a return with him included?

Yes, you should include your newborn on your tax return.

 

When you enter his information into TurboTax, the program will ask you how many months did he live with you in 2019.  You must answer all 12 months.  The IRS considers a newborn, even if born on December 31st, to have lived with the parents all year.
