If I buy Turbox tax software for my computer. Can I use it to file for my 2020 back tax returns?

Each tax year is a separate tax program that has to be purchased individually.

To complete and file a prior year (2022 thru 2020) tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the desktop editions for each tax year required from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A prior year (2022 thru 2020) tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

When mailing multiple tax years use a separate envelope for each year.

No. As stated each tax year must be purchased separately.

You can efile a tax return for the current year and the two preceeding years. So if you efile 2023 you can efile 2022 and 2021. To file for 2020 you will need to mail the return. You can use Turbo Tax 2020 Premier to do a paper copy. When you complete the return, go to the efile under the File tab and select mail for both federal and state returns. Hope this helps.
