The IRS has not released Form 4868 Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return for tax year 2022.

The IRS usually has this form available for filing in late January or early February.

If you are going to use TurboTax online editions you will be able to e-file the Form 4868 in March of 2023. You can e-file the form and the tax return from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

Or you can complete, print and mail the Form 4868 to the IRS when it becomes available for tax year 2022 on this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-4868
