I thought i was doing my 2016 taxes, what am i doing?

the 2016 tax software (Online software) was totally shut down last month. Anything you enter into the Online software now is only for 2017 taxes.....so either delete those entries, or find the "Clear and start over" on the left side of the screen (once you are into the tax file for 2017)

To do a 2016 tax file now, you must buy and use the desktop/download software, install it and work on it there....and e-filing is closed..2016 must be mail-filed by you on paper:
