Question

I received a 1099MISC for photo canvases, how do I deduct my expense off income?

You will have to enter that as a business which may seem odd but that is how the IRS sees 1099MISC income. When you enter the 1099MISC, TurboTax will guide you in that direction asking if you had expenses. When you see the 1099-Misc Summary, click Done. Then go to the Business tab, Business Income & Expenses...update and you will see your income from the photo canvases. You can then enter the Business Profile and Expenses.
