Can I use my purchased copy of Deluxe (CD version on desktop computer) to prepare and file my girlfriend's taxes? More importantly... if I can use it... Do I have to pay anything to e-file her Federal return? Is the fee to e-file her State return the same $19.99 as it was for me?
Yes, you can prepare multiple returns with the Desktop software (CD/Download). You also get 5 free Federal e-files. To e-file a State return there is a charge (now the charge is $19.99). Any returns after the 5 free Federal e-files must be mailed.
