I pay alimony. It is court ordered that it is tax deductible to me, and taxable as income to my ex. My ex has not filed an income tax return since we have been divorced.

No, but I'm worried that they will. It's been 10 years of me making payments and her not claiming it.

Just maintain good records of the payments you have made. You cannot do anything about whether she files a tax return or not.

You report your ex’s name and SSN as recipient, right? Keep your canceled checks, or bank records of direct transfers, and a copy of your divorce order, with your other tax paperwork for at least 6 years. Everything else is between your ex and the IRS.
