The only way to Downgrade from Self Employed is

you must Clear and Start Over.

You may only Clear and Start Over if you have not already Filed or Registered your Return.

To Clear and Start Over Select

 My Account

 Clear and Start Over

This will completely Clear your return and remove Self Employed.

You will need to manually enter All of your information back into your return.

If the program offers to import last years personal information Select

I will enter the information myself.

Otherwise you will be upgraded to Plus .

Keep in mind, if you claim Mortgage Interest, Moving Expenses,  or have an HSA you will be upgraded to  Deluxe.

If you enter Business Expenses you will be upgraded to Self Employed.
I hope this helps

I filed already and -it picked up my last years return, self employed, and filed it under that again. I deleted out all the self-employment. Only had W-2, and Unemployment this year. Still putting me under Self employment.

Was rejected today, I have to add in my 1095 form. It does give the option to clear and start over, however I already filed and DO NOT want to redo all that.

On with an agent they are trying to assist, but so far only solution seems to be clear it. So I may just be over paying.....
