I made more but I'm not receiving more money back.
I made almost $9,000 more than I did last year but I am only receiving $11 more back on my refund as last year. Does that sound correct? All other information stayed the same.
We have a progressive tax system, that means that the more you make, the more of your income is taxed at a higher rate. If make more and don't increase your withholding, then your refund will decrease.
