I’m trying to finish the state... for some reason it added myself as a dependency and it won’t let me continue what should I do took take myself off as a dependency?

Which state?? Depending on how they set up their form it might just be saying you get an untaxed dollar amount for each person on your return. Since the federal form no longer gives that (there is a separate federal credit of $500) some states show a line for this.
